We live in a globalized world, and teams are more and more multidisciplinary. It is rare to see a team in which all members are part of the same nationality, discipline, or any other sense of the world culture. This makes the teams more powerful, but at the same time it makes that power more difficult to harness: it has been acknowledged that diversity in a team can be a challenge, if one wants to take advantage of the full potential.
This workshop will explore how to take advantage of such teams, avoiding the common pitfalls, in a series of games and dynamics. This workshop was first ideated together with Bikash Dhar for project management austria’s Young Crew Workshop on 2011, taking inspiration in some of the games by Fahri Akdemir’s work, and variants of it performed later in Germany.
